Tanjung Tengah es el arrecife principal frente a Pasir Panjang en Redang, donde una larga playa de arena permite a buceadores y personas que practican snorkel entrar caminando directamente a un arrecife somero usado para inmersiones desde costa fáciles, sesiones de iniciación, entradas nocturnas y recorridos tranquilos por el arrecife. El lado sur es ampliamente conocido como Bahía de los Tiburones porque los tiburones juveniles de arrecife de punta negra usan las aguas someras, y en el arrecife también aparecen barracudas, tortugas, rayas, calamares y peces de arrecife comunes cerca de la costa.
