Calypso Bay es una inmersión más tranquila en pared dentro de la Reserva Marina Poor Knights, donde una escarpa volcánica pronunciada cubierta de vida incrustante da paso a rocas, un bosque de kelp y un final arenoso. Safety Notes
This is an offshore boat dive in a protected reserve, so conditions are still weather-dependent even when the bay is chosen as a calmer option. Depth increases progressively down the wall and slope, and divers should follow skipper briefings, stay aware of gas and no-decompression limits, and avoid contact with the wall and kelp-covered boulders.
Access Restrictions
Calypso Bay is reached by boat, usually from Tutukaka Marina. Landing on the islands or tying boats to the shoreline is prohibited throughout the reserve.
