Cow and Calf is a remote Atlantic reef off Guana Bay in Sint Maarten’s marine park, known for gorgonian slopes, rock formations, and a wilder feel than the island’s sheltered reef sites. The dive is boat-dependent and starts deeper, so it suits divers comfortable with open-water exposure and a deliberate descent. Winter can bring humpback whales, while reef sharks, turtles, snapper, triggerfish, and seahorses are the main marine-life draw.
