Spectacular Reef

Spectacular Reef is a Port Phillip boat dive with dramatic rock formations, sheer drop-offs, and abundant fish life across a large reef area. It sits in the South Channel on the former Yarra River bed, so shipping traffic and slack-water timing matter as much as the scenery. On a clean day the soft corals and ledges make the site especially rewarding, but the dive is best planned as a boat run with current awareness rather than a casual shore dive.
