Gato Island

Gato Island is a boat dive off Malapascua built around a protected tunnel-and-cave route under the island. The site mixes an overhead passage with outer reef and coral walls, so it suits divers who are comfortable following a guide through changing current, surge, and visibility. White-tip reef sharks, seahorses, nudibranchs, pipefish, scorpionfish, and other macro life make it a classic current-aware cave dive rather than a casual reef cruise. The sanctuary setting also brings sea snakes and other protected marine life into the mix.
