About Newry Beach
Newry Beach is a sheltered shore dive in Holyhead Harbour with an easy beach entry and a straightforward route that starts over sand and shale before working into rock, kelp, and harbour structure. It is a useful local option when exposed Anglesey sites are rough, and the site is easy to navigate without a guide in settled conditions. Expect a temperate invertebrate dive rather than a reef scene: crabs, nudibranchs, scallops, sea squirts, and other small life are the main draw, with the occasional seal appearing around the harbour mouth. The working-harbour setting means you should keep an eye on boat movement and shifting visibility.
