About Caskelot/Nederland
This site features two historic wrecks: the Dutch barge Nederland, which sank in 1917 while carrying paving stones, and the sailing ship Caskelot, which sank in 1970. The two wrecks are linked by a line, allowing divers to move between them. The Nederland wreck is noted for intact details such as windlasses and deadeyes. Marine life is characteristic of the Baltic Sea, with sightings including perch and porpoises.
