About Police Wreck
Police Wreck is a set of three decommissioned police boats sunk in 2012 as an artificial reef off Perhentian. The site sits on a sandy bottom with a guideline linking the wrecks, so the route is easy to follow while still giving divers a real wreck profile to explore. It is usually dived as a short boat outing from the nearby beaches, making it a straightforward guided trip rather than a technical penetration dive. Fish life is the main draw, with barracuda, jacks, snapper, stingrays, scorpionfish, and smaller cleaner life using the wrecks for cover.
