Redang + Lang Tengah

Most travelers reach Redang and Lang Tengah via Kuala Terengganu (TGG) on the mainland, then transfer to Merang Jetty for speedboats to the islands.

Common routing options:

• Option A (most common): Fly into Kuala Terengganu (TGG), then take a 30 km drive to Merang Jetty and a speedboat to Redang or Lang Tengah.
• Option B (seasonal): Use a direct or package-linked flight into Redang (RDN), then take a resort shuttle to your beach area.

Practical tips:

• Boat departures are scheduled and can sell out in peak season. Confirm your jetty and departure time in advance.
• Build buffer time if you are connecting flights to a fixed boat schedule.
• During Northeast Monsoon months (roughly Nov - Feb), transfers may be delayed or canceled and many island resorts close.

On the islands, movement is mostly by resort shuttle, short taxi rides (Redang), or by boat. There is no rideshare and very limited public transport.
