Hvar's scuba appeal is concentrated variety. From Hvar Town, Aqualis and other local centers run day boats to Pakleni walls, reefs, chimneys, caves, and wreck terrain, often within 10 to 20 minutes. Newer divers can work the shallow slope at Baba Reef, while experienced teams target Campanella, Poseidon Pillar, or Anchor Wall.
The trade is flexibility rather than certainty. Offshore current, wind, and swell can change the site, and the most photogenic gorgonian walls frequently sit deeper than a beginner profile. June and September are the strongest all-round months. July and August are warmest but busiest, while April, late October, and November demand direct confirmation that the chosen center and boat schedule are operating.
A signature chimney rises from roughly {{ 30 | distance:m }} to {{ 11 | distance:m }}, with ledges that shelter scorpionfish, morays, lobster, conger eels, and forkbeard.
An advanced offshore pinnacle and wall with bluewater exposure, current, red gorgonians, and a tunnel around {{ 35 | distance:m }}.
A flexible slope starts near {{ 5 | distance:m }} and reaches roughly {{ 20 | distance:m }} before deeper wall options.
A deeper wall profile centers on an anchor around {{ 18 | distance:m }} and descends through the {{ 30 | distance:m }} range.
