Fly to Sorong's Domine Eduard Osok Airport, then take the public fast ferry or resort speedboat to Waisai on Waigeo. Waisai's Marinda Airport handles occasional turboprops. Many liveaboards board in Sorong and sail overnight to Dampier Strait.
Waisai has taxis and charter cars. Island travel is by boat; fuel availability and weather dictate departures.
