Sharm's scuba identity is built around boat diving to Ras Mohammed and the Straits of Tiran. One day you drift coral walls and sandy saddles around Jackfish Alley and Shark Observatory territory, the next you ride the current along Thomas, Gordon, or Woodhouse. Visibility commonly sits around 20 m to 35 m, water stays warm for most of the year, and the city has one of Egypt's deepest benches of CDWS-registered operators. This is a strong choice for divers who want high-quality reef diving without liveaboard logistics, but it rewards buoyancy control, surface awareness, and comfort with current-managed pickups.
A classic Ras Mohammed dive that mixes reef edge, glassfishfilled cavities, and a profile that often works well as a beautiful second dive.
Steep wall diving below the headland lookout, with schooling fish in the blue and a strong sense of diving the very edge of the park.
Long Tiran drift with a split in the reef, vivid color, and the possibility of stronger current or washingmachine turbulence near the end.
Small, famous, and often fastmoving, with a plateau around 25 m, big gorgonians, and a deeper canyon line that is only for properly qualified divers.
A broad Tiran reef with coral gardens, bluewater fish action, and the nearby Loullia wreck remains adding character to the shallows.
