Ruta de las Anclas is Portitxol's underwater archaeology route, built around anchors from different eras rather than a reef wall or cave system. Divers follow a guided boat dive through a shallow, buoyed area where the route is treated as a heritage site, so the pace stays controlled and the dive stays compact. It suits calm Mediterranean days and club trips that want an easy, history-led outing more than a wildlife chase. The surrounding bay still has the rocky, Posidonia-backed feel that makes Portitxol one of Xàbia's most distinctive dive areas.
