The key is not to demand one exposed site on one date: book a reputable local center, state your certification and recent experience accurately, and let the skipper use wind direction, current, and visibility to choose the safest coast.

Choose a center near your accommodation or verify pickup and harbor location before paying. Send certification level, logged dives, last-dive date, equipment sizes, and any enriched-air qualification in advance. July and August require early reservations; May, June, September, and early October are often easier for flexible divers. Pianosa must be booked through an authorized operation and can be changed by park, sea, or logistics conditions. Do not plan a no-fly interval by guesswork: follow your computer, agency guidance, and DAN advice, especially before a seasonal flight from Marina di Campo.
