Scuba here is about variety and progression. Dive Center Krk and other local operators run boats from Krk and Punat to Plavnik, Cres and Prvic, while Silo-side centers focus on the upright Peltastis. New divers can train at Crni Mol or sheltered house reefs. Advanced divers add walls, tunnels and deeper wrecks, and technical teams can plan Jakljan, Lina or other Kvarner ships. The appeal is not dense tropical coral. It is clear northern Adriatic water over limestone, Posidonia, gorgonians, wreck structure and compact macro life.

Truly independent scuba requires Croatia's annual individual authorization, a properly marked dive area and awareness of prohibited zones.
