About The Cable
The Cable is a boat-only outer reef off Key West, named for the historic telegraph cable route that once ran from the Southernmost Point area toward Havana. Expect a shallow recreational reef with big sponges, colorful Caribbean fish, and regular nurse shark and reef shark sightings, making it a strong choice for a relaxed guided boat dive when weather cooperates.
