Usgs Duane

The Duane is a large, upright Coast Guard wreck and artificial reef off Key Largo that rewards advanced boat divers with a clear route through the bow, tower, and upper decks. Open-water exposure and Gulf Stream influence can make current planning important, so the dive works best when the sea is settled. Marine life is the other draw, with dense reef fish, big groupers, barracuda, and sharks often part of the scene.
