There is no Isle of Wight tourism levy and no destination-wide marine-park tag for recreational divers, freedivers, or snorkelers. Ordinary costs are operator, training, gas, equipment, ferry, parking, and accommodation charges. The important permit exception is protected maritime archaeology: designated wrecks may require a Historic England licence or participation through a current authorised dive trail. Separate military-wreck and aircraft protections can apply. A booking with a boat does not itself grant protected-site permission.
