Canto del Mero

Canto del Mero is a boat-access coral ledge off Rincón del Mar that drops from a shallow top into deeper water. The reef forms a clear wall-and-slope profile, so the dive reads best as a guided Caribbean reef run rather than a casual shore session. Marine life is dense, with butterflyfish, angelfish, grunts, snapper, parrotfish, grouper, moray eels, and reef crabs filling the ledge and the drop. Calm seas and good visibility make the site easier to read, while rougher conditions add more movement over the top.
