Maftah is a coral reef off Diani with mixed hard and soft corals that create a vibrant habitat for reef fish and invertebrates. Divers commonly report green and hawksbill turtles alongside moray eels, nudibranchs, clownfish, surgeonfish, and Moorish idols. From October through March, larger pelagics such as whale sharks and manta rays are sometimes reported in the area, making Maftah a seasonal highlight for wildlife-focused dives.
