Costa Brava rock-and-cave dive with gorgonians and morays.
Furio de Aigua Xelida is a rocky Costa Brava dive near Tamariu, built around a mooring-line approach to a ridgeline of rock and reef. The site is known for a small swim-through cave near the anchorage, gorgonian-covered walls, and a relaxed multi-feature terrain that suits guided boat dives and competent recreational divers.
Site Conditions
Safety Notes
A lamp is recommended for the cave; use appropriate precautions for a swim-through and remain aware of activity around the mooring/anchorage area.
Access Restrictions
Use the mooring-line approach and follow local dive-center guidance around the anchorage. The cave and near-boat area call for controlled buoyancy and awareness of traffic.
Legal Notes
The site is part of an eco-guided Costa Brava route, so follow the local route and anchoring rules.
Community notes to help plan your visit.
Scuba Diving
A small cave at about 12 m can be dived through as a buddy team; a dive light is recommended.
Freediving
The shallow reef top can work for competent freedivers on calm days, but the cave and mooring approach are better treated as guided scuba features.
Snorkeling
Snorkelling is possible in the cove in calm conditions, but the main interest sits below the surface on the rocky reef and around the cave.
