South West Rocks is a boat-diving destination built around Fish Rock, a dramatic offshore pinnacle system famous for protected grey nurse sharks and the swim-through at Fish Rock Cave. Local operators like Fish Rock Dive Centre and South West Rocks Dive Centre typically run double dives, pairing the cave with shark gutters, reefs, and walls around the island. Expect a mix of big-animal encounters, wide-angle scenery, and the kind of adventurous overhead environment that rewards calm buoyancy and good team habits.
A vertical relief dive where a pinnacle rises from about 30 m to within 7 m of the surface.
A classic Fish Rock reef circuit used as a seconddive option when conditions favor a calmer profile.
A nearby offshore rock and reef system sometimes paired with Fish Rock charters.
Australia's signature oceancave dive: a 120 m to 125 m swimthrough with entrances near 12 m and 24 m, bullseyes by the thousand, and frequent grey nurse sharks near the openings.
Deep channels that create natural "lanes" for sharks and rays.
A reefy reset dive packed with fish life when you want a breather from the cave.
