When To Go · Destination Guide
Cold-water wrecks, tidal reefs, kelp coves, and mountain horizons on the Irish Sea
When to go
May to September is the easiest overall window because daylight is long, landbased attractions run fuller schedules, and coastal plans have a better chance of settled conditions.
Best overall window
Longest practical daylight, fuller visitor services, and the strongest balance across diving, snorkeling, wildlife, and walking
Outside that window
Shorter daylight and more frequent disruption favor local training, sheltered water, and flexible inland or heritage days
