Flores Island

Atlantic edge-of-Europe diving and waterfall hikes on the Azores biosphere island

When to go

Best time to visit Flores Island

Flores diving and snorkeling are possible yearround, but conditions are strongly seasonal and weatherdriven.

Best overall window

More stable weather, calmer seas, and warmer water near 22°C to 25°C.

Outside that window

Higher swell and more storm systems. Build buffers for flight and ferry disruption.

Start with the overall answer, then switch only when scuba, freedive, snorkel, or topside timing changes the trip in a meaningful way.

The overall row stays visible so you can compare it against the currently selected scope.
