Historic bays, clear Ionian water, and flexible coast days on Albania's rising Riviera

Himara's scuba identity is built around Porto Palermo, Jale, and the nearby Drymades Beach - MIG-21 wreck. Porto Palermo is the strategic site because the bay can handle training, refreshers, shallow archaeology, and deeper south-side exploration in one compact area. Jale adds easy summer access through Oazi Blu's seasonal beach base, while Drymades contributes a photogenic shore-access wreck for settled days. This is not a big-current, megafauna destination. It is better for Mediterranean texture: walls, caverns, amphora fields, wreck photography, octopus, wrasse, and easy logistics for divers who like choosing the right bay for the day.
Castlebacked bay with northside archaeology, southside wall and cavern structure, and some of the calmest trainingfriendly entries on this stretch of coast.
Photogenic shoreaccess jet wreck at about 9 m and roughly 80 m from shore, best on clear, settled days.
