Scuba
What It Feels Like
Moorea scuba is compact, sharky, and boat-based. TOPDIVE, Moorea Blue Diving, Scubapiti, Ia Ora Diving, and Nemo'z Diving commonly work the north and east coast reefs, where rides are short and profiles range from easy coral gardens to deeper shark and canyon sites. The classic plan is two morning dives outside the barrier reef, then lagoon time or topside exploring. Expect warm water, hard corals, turtles, reef sharks, and occasional lemon sharks, with the deeper Rose Garden and current-exposed Tiki Point better suited to confident divers.
Signature Sites
Start Here
A northcoast classic with sand canyons, coral ridges, turtles, blacktip reef sharks, and reef fish around the Opunohu pass area.
Moorea's bestknown shark dive, usually run at medium depth with excellent visibility and chances for grey reef, blacktip, and lemon sharks.
A reef pass option with slope topography, schools of fish, turtles, and passing reef sharks when tide and current are favorable.
Level Up
A gentler eastside option for refreshers, first boat dives, and photographers wanting coral heads, sand patches, and reef fish.
Advanced
