Saba specializes in guided boat scuba from Fort Bay, not shore entries. Licensed local operators such as Sea Saba reach volcanic walls, pinnacles, reef slopes and sheltered sites within Saba National Marine Park. Third Encounter and the Eye of the Needle reward suitably qualified divers with exposed deep terrain, while Tent Reef and Ladder Bay offer alternative profiles. Boat schedules, currents and exact site selection depend on weather, qualifications and park restrictions. A Caribbean Explorer II multi-island liveaboard itinerary is a separately verified option; it does not replace ordinary island day-boat diving.

Operator Checklist
Book licensed boat diving before arrival, especially for deeper advanced itineraries. Sea Saba currently publishes classic two-tank, advanced two-tank and afternoon one-tank departures; actual days, guest numbers and accessible moorings may change. Ask whether your certification and logged experience qualify for the intended sites. Carry proof of certification, medical clearance if relevant, computer and any required nitrox authorization. Sea Saba includes 32% nitrox for eligible certified divers and reports a mandatory dive computer. Confirm rental sizing, park fees, cancellation rules and on-island oxygen/evacuation plans. Allow several nights for transport and weather buffers. Do not plan Mount Scenery or major altitude gains after diving; preserve an appropriate surface interval before flying.
