Use Toulon-Hyeres Airport for Cavalaire and the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, Nice Cote d'Azur Airport for Saint-Raphael, or Marseille Provence when schedules and fares justify the longer transfer. Saint-Raphael is the simplest rail gateway: connect from Nice Airport to Nice Saint-Augustin station, then use the regional corridor toward Saint-Raphael-Valescure. For Cavalaire and Saint-Tropez, a rental car, pre-booked transfer, or regional coach is normally more practical than rail. In July and August, allow substantial road contingency around Sainte-Maxime, Gassin, Ramatuelle, and Saint-Tropez.
A rental car gives the most control for a multi-base dive itinerary, equipment transport, and early departures from Cavalaire, Ramatuelle, or smaller ports. Saint-Raphael is the exception: rail, walking, local buses, and taxis can support a car-light stay if the selected dive center is central or offers pickup.
