Cabeço das Cordas is an offshore mount named for the anchors and rope lost here by fishing boats in rougher seas, and that exposed setting still defines the dive today. Giant groupers, rock hinds, and other traveling fish give the site a deeper blue-water feel than a sheltered reef stop.
