Plan for a reef crest at about 3-8m with a conservative main-wall maximum around 40m; some references stretch the wall deeper.

How do you access Orud?

It is normally reached by boat from the Trogir and Ciovo area with a local dive operator.

Yes. The west side drops quickly, so the site feels like a classic reef-to-wall profile rather than a flat reef.

Is Orud good for advanced divers?

Yes. Orud is a strong choice for divers who like a shallow crest, a big wall, and enough depth to stay focused on buoyancy and planning.

What gear helps at Orud?

A dive computer, light, and exposure protection help, and a camera is useful if you want the reef detail.

What makes Orud different from a normal reef dive?

It is a long reef with a steep wall, gorgonian growth, tunnels, and some archaeological detail from pottery fragments.

What marine life is common at Orud?

Expect fish in the holes and tunnels, plus the usual Adriatic reef mix around the ridge and wall.

When is the best time to dive Orud?

Summer and early autumn usually offer the most comfortable boat and water conditions.

Scuba Diving

A classic wall-and-reef dive for experienced divers who like profile changes and slow inspection of the ridge.

Freediving

Not a freedive target because the wall and depth suit scuba planning.

Snorkeling

The shallow crest is attractive, but the real site is the wall, so scuba is the right fit.

Chill / Non-diver
