Grotta dell'Eremita is a rocky Portofino Marine Protected Area dive where a shallow cave opening in the coastal wall gives way to a boulder-strewn slope, fissures, and a deeper main profile. The route usually begins from the park mooring and follows rough rock, broken blocks, and patches of posidonia before opening into a richer habitat zone. It is a controlled boat dive with weak current, generally good visibility, and enough depth range for guided recreational diving when the sea is settled. Expect yellow cup corals, false coral, encrusting sponges, red coral patches, and a busy Mediterranean fish community.
