Scoglio Spandillo is a south-Marettimo boat dive built around a rocky shoal that rises out of sand and posidonia. The route mixes boulders, a small double-entrance passage, and an exposed face where red gorgonians stay open when the current is running. It is a better fit for a guided boat dive than a casual shore stop, because the exposed side changes quickly with wind, swell, and current. Brown grouper, encrusting growth, and classic Egadi hard-bottom life give it the feel of a compact coralligenous reef.
