Beach-access coral reef with calm-bay snorkeling windows.
Tenacatita is a beach-access Pacific dive on Mexico's Jalisco coast, centered on a secluded bay with coral blocks, sea fans, and rich reef life along the shallows and rocky edges. It suits relaxed shoreline dives and snorkeling when the water is calm, while the point and outer reef feel more exposed when Pacific swell moves through. The entry is straightforward, but the best dives come with patience and a flexible plan around sea state.

Safety Notes
Stay flexible around the point, and do not force an entry if the swell is wrapping or breaking on the rocks.
Access Restrictions
Beach access is the default; the point and outer reef are more exposed and should be planned around sea state.
Community notes to help plan your visit.
Scuba Diving
Scuba fits the shallow reef and rocky edges well on calm days, with coral blocks, sea fans, and fish life around the bay.
Snorkeling
Snorkeling works best on calm days inside the bay and around the shallower reef edges.
