Blauwe Meer is a freshwater quarry lake in Drenthe with a sandy beach entry, blue water and a very shallow, training-oriented profile. It is more of a controlled local practice site than a wildlife dive, so beginners use it for easy access and straightforward navigation. The trade-off is low visibility and very little underwater life, which makes it better for training days than for scenic exploration.
