Quiet freshwater shore dive in the Ressen quarry.
Quiet freshwater shore dive in the Ressen quarry.
Ressen is a former sand quarry created for the Ressen junction and now used as a quiet freshwater shore dive. The bottom is mostly stable sand with little structure, so it works better as a shallow training and practice site than as a scenery-heavy dive. Spring can be the nicest time because insect life and tadpoles show up in the shallows, while carp fishing and loose lines are the main things to watch.
