Artificial-reef house reef with macro life and wrecks.
Luca Sanctuary, Reef Village is a shore-access house reef in Dauin built around a long-running artificial-reef project. Reef Village structures, reef cones, and sunk wrecks create a layered dive that rewards slow macro searching, careful buoyancy, and patient reef circuits around steel, concrete, and coral-covered surfaces. It is the kind of site where small critters, reef fish, and larger visitors can all show up in the same dive.
Conservative baseline from public research. No community dives logged yet.
Depth range, seasonality, and planning context.
Reported Depth
10m - 26m
Depth Note
Main artificial-reef features begin around 10-18m, with a wreck and deeper features around 26m.
Best Season
Year-round, with the dry season offering the calmest conditions.
Typical Conditions
Usually calm shore-diving conditions with good visibility; wet-season winds can roughen the surface and trim visibility.
Hazards, restrictions, and access requirements.
Safety Notes
Keep buoyancy stable around the artificial reef pieces and plan your route if moving to the deeper wreck section.
Access Restrictions
Shore access from the resort area; some deeper features are better for divers comfortable past beginner depths.
Legal Notes
Follow local sanctuary and dive-center rules for the artificial reef area.
Community notes to help plan your visit.
Scuba Diving
Artificial reef structures and intentionally sunk wrecks create varied underwater features for diving.
Freediving
Not a primary freedive target; the reef structures and deeper wreck sections are better handled on scuba.
Snorkeling
Some shallow sand and coral blocks may be visible from the surface, but the main attraction sits below snorkelling range.
