Bäregg features a gently sloping muddy bottom that transitions into small rock walls. Several tree trunks lie in the sediment and provide interesting foregrounds for underwater photography. The site is known for freshwater fish activity around the trees, with smaller invertebrate life such as snails and caddisfly larvae also present.
