Sutil Island is a boat dive off Santa Barbara Island built around a rocky islet with caves, kelp forests, and exposed water that can change quickly with swell and current. The site is best for divers who are comfortable navigating a rocky Channel Islands line, watching air and direction in kelp, and staying conservative when the surface or surge becomes active. In good conditions, the reward is dense marine life and a dramatic rock structure that makes the dive feel bigger than the island itself.
