Expect protected-area entrance fees in Mexico's top dive zones, especially inside CONANP national parks and biosphere reserves. Most dive boats and tour operators collect the fees for you, but some areas also support CONANP's digital bracelet or annual conservation passport. Always carry a little cash in pesos for small ports and remote villages.
