DiveJourney Now Supports Five Languages
Since the last update, DiveJourney has launched in German, bringing the platform to five supported languages. We also improved Buddy connections, made it easier for local dive shops to add missing dive sites, and added more control over public trip activity. Here is what is new:
🇩🇪 DiveJourney is now available in German - German joins English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. DiveJourney now supports five languages, making it easier for more divers to explore the map, research destinations, and plan their next time in the water. Explore DiveJourney in German
🫂 Buddy invitations now create saved connections - Share a Buddy invitation with someone you dive or travel with. Once they accept, the connection is saved for both of you. Signed-in divers can also discover private Buddy opportunities based on location and overlapping travel plans, or post an Open Invite when there is not a direct match yet. Open Community
🌊 More local knowledge can reach the map - Dive shops can now submit a missing dive site while setting up their profile instead of leaving the process. Every new site still goes through review before it appears publicly, making it easier for local operators to help fill gaps while keeping the map trustworthy.
🔒 More control over shared trip activity - Trips remain private unless you choose to share them. A separate opt-in controls whether broad trip activity can appear publicly, and the public version never includes your full itinerary or personal trip details.
🔥 What is next - Next I am focusing on expanding destination and dive-site coverage, and making the path from researching a place to finding local operators and people to dive with more useful.
