Atlantic wrecks, rocky reefs and cliff-lined days on Portugal's southern coast
Accommodation listings are not available for this destination yet. Use the local planning notes to choose your base.
Use Faro Airport (FAO) as the main air gateway and plan a separate ground transfer to the actual dive base. The airport lists local Proximo buses to Faro and VAMUS Aerobus links serving Albufeira, Portimao and Lagos. Check the travel-date timetable before relying on a bus for an early boat departure.
For an arrival elsewhere in Portugal, compare a road transfer with the itinerary available in the official CP rail planner. Avoid scheduling a prepaid water activity immediately after a flight or a long connection. The destination is normally planned from land with local outings; there is no essential liveaboard or sea-transfer stage.
A single-base stay with an agreed operator meeting point can reduce the need for a car. A car becomes more useful when combining Sagres, Portimao, central-coast reefs and an eastern lagoon visit, but confirm parking and gear storage before renting.
