Cold-water walls, freshwater wreck details, and Alpine shore days within reach of Munich

Munich Airport is the main international gateway. From central Munich, Starnberg and Tutzing are reached by S-Bahn or regional rail, making Starnberger See practical without a car for sightseeing and selected light-gear activities. Walchensee is reached through Kochel am See, followed by a regional bus, taxi, or road transfer toward Walchensee and Wallgau. A dive party carrying cylinders, weights, drysuits, oxygen, and changing equipment benefits strongly from a rental car or operator transfer. Treat road distances and transfer times as planning estimates, then check live rail engineering works, traffic, winter-road conditions, and parking rules.
Starnberger See is the easier car-free lake. Rail serves Starnberg, Possenhofen, Feldafing, Tutzing, and other nearby points, and passenger boats can supplement walking or cycling when their stops operate.
