When to go
Coral Coast is warm and workable yearround, but May to October is the most reliable allpurpose window because it is Fiji's drier season with lower humidity, fewer storm disruptions, and easier planning for reefs, dunes, river trips, golf, and markets.

Drier season, cooler evenings, warm water around 25°C to 28°C, stronger allaround reliability
Outside that window
Warmest and most humid months with wetseason downpours, runoff risk, and peak tropical cyclone awareness from January to March

Sea Turtle Nesting Season
Best for Snorkel, Scuba, Topside
Oct to Apr
Fiji hosts green, hawksbill, leatherback, loggerhead, and olive ridley turtles, with green, hawksbill, and leatherback nesting from October to April.
Reef Shark and Turtle Channel Dives
Best for Scuba
May to Oct
Dryseason visibility and easier boat planning favor Tagaqe sites such as The Maze, Fanny Hill, Gunbarrel, and The Edge for reef sharks, turtles, schooling fish, and gorgonian scenery.
Beqa Lagoon Shark Dive Add-on
Best for Scuba
Year-round
Pacific Harbour operators schedule shark dives yearround, but it is an advancedleaning addon with marine reserve fees, age and certification rules, and weatherrelated cancellation risk.
Coral Restoration and Reef Education
Best for Snorkel, Topside
May to Oct
Guided reef and coral nursery experiences are best in the dry season, when water clarity and beach logistics are usually easier for conservationfocused snorkelers.
