Nassau day boats, Southwest Reef wrecks, shark encounters and Clifton underwater art

Southwest New Providence is a land-based, two-tank boat destination, not a destination requiring a liveaboard. Stuart Cove's Coral Harbour dive boats visit walls, wrecks and reefs. The March 2026 DAN field report documents Southwest Reef, Shark Wall and several locally dived wrecks. Sandals also advertises scuba for qualifying registered resort guests. The separately sold Shark Adventure is explicitly provisioned, and regular dives or private charters are alternatives to baited shark encounters.
Heineken Wall
Documented southwestern wall route offering dramatic reefedge terrain; the ledge, currents and depth require guide assessment.
Shark Wall
Reefedge setting associated with an operatormanaged sharkfeeding area; sharks nearby can reflect intentional provisioning.
The Arena
Operatorassociated Caribbean reef shark feeding arena.
Southwest Reef
A repeatedly reported New Providence shallow coral and fish site used as an alternative to deeper outer walls; check recent coral condition after marine heat stress.
Ray of Hope
Local wreck and artificial habitat documented by DAN and operator sources; view from outside unless separately qualified for overhead environments.
Willaurie
Wreck on the southwest New Providence dive circuit; current diver access, conditions and exterior or interior restrictions require local confirmation.
Operator Checklist
Check the Stuart Cove's dive product or Bahamas Dive Guides charter inquiry for a confirmed operating date, current Coral Harbour check-in, actual pickup coverage, required proof of certification, recent-dive requirements, oxygen and first aid provision, gear sizes, nitrox and cancellation rules. Stuart Cove's lists tanks and weights in its standard scuba fare but other dive kit extra. Sandals inclusion is for eligible registered resort guests, not independent day visitors. The scheduled shark dive involves feeding; do not conflate it with ordinary unbaited reef diving. Leave a conservative no-fly buffer after your final dives.
