When to go
South Devon is genuinely diveable in every month when the forecast, tide, and team suit the site, but May to September is the easiest allround planning window.
Best overall window
Longest useful daylight, broadest activity choice, and latesummer water commonly near the upper end of the local annual range around 17°C to 18°C.
Outside that window
Visibility can swing more from day to day.
Start with the overall answer, then switch only when scuba, freedive, snorkel, or topside timing changes the trip in a meaningful way.
