The most efficient international plan is usually rail or a fly-and-drive. Direct TGV services connect Paris-Montparnasse with Quimper in roughly three and a half to four hours, putting Concarneau within a final local transfer. For Quiberon, rail to Auray connects with regional transport and the seasonal Tire-Bouchon train. Brest is the nearest useful scheduled airport for the Concarneau side; Nantes has the broadest air network for many Quiberon itineraries; Rennes is a workable alternative. A rental car is strongly recommended for a two-base dive trip because boats may report early, sites move with conditions, and public transport does not link every harbor efficiently.
A car is the best fit for a combined Concarneau and Quiberon dive itinerary, especially with cylinders, suits, early harbor reports, and weather-driven launch changes. Rail works well for the main gateways: Quimper serves the Concarneau side and Auray serves Quiberon.
