Limestone canyons, granite islands, and giant grouper in Corsica's protected far south
Accommodation listings are not available for this destination yet. Use the local planning notes to choose your base.
Figari-Sud Corse Airport is the natural gateway, positioned roughly 22 km from Bonifacio and 25 km from Porto-Vecchio. Air Corsica links Figari with mainland French hubs, while other seasonal routes vary by year. A rental car or pre-arranged transfer is the most practical choice for a two-base dive trip.
Ferries create useful road-trip combinations. Bonifacio connects with Santa Teresa Gallura in Sardinia on seasonal services, and Porto-Vecchio has published links with Toulon, Nice, and northern Sardinia. Strait crossings are weather-exposed and schedules change, so never place a non-refundable flight immediately after a tight ferry connection.
A rental car is strongly recommended. Dive centers, beach accommodation, Bonifacio, Palombaggia, Santa Giulia, Ospedale, and Figari are dispersed, and public transport does not provide a reliable early-morning dive network.
