Protected Adriatic walls, wrecks and sea caves in a car-free island chain

The standard route is rail or road to Termoli, followed by a fast ferry to San Domino. Termoli maintains the strongest year-round role, with more frequent departures in summer. Seasonal boats may also operate from Vieste, Rodi Garganico, Peschici, Manfredonia or selected Abruzzo ports, but these should be treated as date-specific options rather than permanent links. Alidaunia's published 2026 timetable provides scheduled helicopter service from Foggia to San Domino, generally in about 20 minutes, with additional summer frequency. Build a buffer before an international flight because wind can delay or cancel both island boats and mainland connections.
Plan for a car-free island stay. Visitors move around San Domino and San Nicola on foot, use water taxis between the inhabited islands and hire licensed boats or kayaks for permitted coastal routes.
