North Komodo pinnacle with sharks, trevallies, and strong current.
North Komodo pinnacle with sharks, trevallies, and strong current.
Castle Rock Komodo is an exposed north-Komodo pinnacle that rises out of open blue water and drops away quickly on every side. The site is built around current-led action, with sharks, giant trevallies, barracuda, and dense fusilier schools working the edges of the rock. It is a demanding boat dive that rewards quick descent, good buoyancy, and a guide who can read the flow.

Use a negative entry, descend quickly, and stay on the lee side of the pinnacle; this is not a site to linger in the blue on your own.
Community notes to help plan your visit.
Scuba Diving
A current-focused pinnacle dive that starts with a blue-water entry and quick descent to the main feature.
Freediving
