About Amoco Cadiz

The Amoco Cadiz is an oil tanker wreck that ran aground off the coast of Brittany in 1978 and has remained on the seabed near Portsall in North Finistère. Marine life shelters within the structure, including lobsters, conger eels, and pout. The site also features increasing marine growth such as Laminaria, Spirographia, and pearl anemones.
